My Coaching Story

Hi, I’m Saima Z—Your Career Coach,

My journey—from Pakistan to Canada and now Saudi Arabia—has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to rebuild, adapt, and grow.

I experienced early on how transitions shape us when I moved from Pakistan as an immigrant to Canada. Later, with multiple relocations across the country and eventually a move to the Middle East, I came to appreciate that change is both demanding and deeply rewarding.

My interest in the field of career development was sparked when I attended several job search workshops as a newcomer to Canada. Seeing firsthand how the right guidance could transform lives, I knew I wanted to be part of that work. Over the years, I have supported professionals as they navigate new roles and unfamiliar markets.

My work with Canadian government–funded immigration settlement programs (both pre-arrival and post-arrival) enhanced my cross-cultural competence and deepened my ability to support others through challenging and stressful situations.

Along the way, I realized that career strategies and job-search techniques are only part of the story. To truly pursue a fulfilling career, one also needs motivation, confidence, self-esteem, mental clarity, and balance. This insight inspired me to complete ICF-accredited life coach training. Today, as an ICF Level 1 Certified Coach, I am committed to the ICF code of ethics—offering a confidential, judgment-free, and growth-focused space for my coachees.

Toastmasters has also been a big part of my journey. Through the club, I’ve led community engagement workshops, facilitated leadership training sessions, and received several public-speaking awards.

My mission as a coach is to help professionals worldwide achieve their career and personal development goals—whatever that looks like for them. For some, success is about career advancement; for others, it’s about balance, connection, or authenticity. My role is to walk alongside them as they define and pursue what success truly means in their lives.
